a girl wants: Grooming advice for him

It's good to be a man.
You tend to be judged on more than just the sum of your parts. Women are
often attracted to men who aren't classically handsome: Think Tony Soprano
and Jerry Seinfeld.
What's sexy to us can be quirky, and it often is. Physical
beauty aside, cleanliness is king. And nothing gets a guy the royal treatment
quicker than some basic good grooming. Trust me; women adore the clean
shaven, fresh scent of a man much more than his primped and preened counterpart.
When it comes to the hair, there are no hard and fast
rules. Well, maybe a few. Nose hair? Trim it. Ear hair? Ban it.
We're less concerned with the hair on your head than you
may think. Bald, blond or buzzed, what makes the man is so much more than
his fade - or lack thereof.
That said, a unibrow has wrecked even the most rugged
of good looks. Plus, having hair in the wrong places is much more of a
turn off than not having hair in the right places.
Trim nose hairs at least twice a month with an electric
trimmer such as the Turbo-Groomer 5.0 from Sharper Image ($59.95 at Sharperimage.com).
The same trimmer can be used to trim hair in the inner ears as needed.
Use the interchangeable miniclipper to trim the ear's outer edge at least
once a month.
Unibrows must not be ignored. Here's a simple test: Place
your pointer finger between your eyebrows; if there's hair there it's
time to divide and conquer.
To banish too much brow hair I recommend tweezing. Try
not to shave, guys. (Although it's better than doing nothing.) Use slanted,
stainless steel tweezers to remove hair from the root. One to try is Tweezerman's
automatic tweezer; the tip automatically closes and retracts to painlessly
remove hair ($9.95 at Folica.com).
y man has been known to indulge in a massage and he's
no neophyte. He knows what he likes and won't accept less. His pick is
usually a 90-minute sports massage. Pedicures? He's game. Some men won't
let anyone near their feet. It's not pretty. I surveyed my girlfriends
and compared to some of the funky male feet we've seen, a man in a pedicure
throne is hot.
So gentlemen, if you've found this
article tucked in your briefcase or even left open on the kitchen table,
take note; someone's trying to tell you what a girl wants. Pay attention
and you just may get what you want. And that's a beautiful thing.
